Leadership

Click on a tab above or an item below to learn more about how you can engage and become an active part of ASPPA's Leadership.

ASPPA leadership is comprised of volunteer members and staff working together to implement the strategy of the Society. Committees provide representation of the members interests, needs, and mind-set; and assist the organization in maintaining high levels of professional practice, promoting the interests of members, and providing appropriate services to members.

ASPPA provides lobbying, logistical and administrative support to subsidiaries and other organizations to further the cause of the private retirement system. Read more about these organizations to see how they serve you and the private retirement industry.

All credentialed actuarial members of ASPPA are members of The ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries (ACOPA). ACOPA is the only national organization dedicated to the practice of enrolled pension actuaries.

The National Tax Sheltered Accounts Association (NTSAA) is the nation's only independent, non-profit association dedicated to the 403(b) and 457 marketplace. In December of 2009, NTSAA members voted to combine operations with American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). When the combination agreement takes effect in January of 2010, the NTSAA will operate as a semi-autonomous division under ASPPA, retaining its name and brand identity.

Local ASPPA Benefits Councils (ABCs) activities help our members keep current with industry developments and government affairs activities.

ASPPA's elite membership has grown to approximately 6,000 retirement plan professionals who have chosen to be among the most dedicated in the profession and who take on retirement plan work as a career.

ASPPA's yearbook allows members to search for other members based on several search criteria.
